E-commerce Development.

Storefronts that load fast and check out cleanly.

Drema builds e-commerce platforms where the commercial requirements drive the engineering: page speed, checkout friction, search visibility and reliable inventory. Most stores lose more revenue to a slow product page and an over-long checkout than to anything in the catalogue.

The problem

What usually
goes wrong.

The store looks good and converts badly. Product pages take five seconds on mobile, checkout asks for an account before it asks for payment, category pages are invisible to search, and inventory drifts out of sync with the warehouse until something oversells.

The pattern we are usually called in to fix
What we build

Everything that ships
with this work.

Not a menu to choose from. Each piece is here because leaving it out is what makes this kind of project fail six months later.

01

Storefront build

Fast, server-rendered category and product pages built to meet Core Web Vitals on mobile.

02

Checkout optimisation

Guest checkout, minimal fields, saved details, clear costs and no surprise charges at the final step.

03

Payments

Cards, wallets, UPI and buy-now-pay-later as appropriate, with idempotent handling and reconciliation.

04

Inventory and orders

Stock accuracy across channels, order lifecycle, returns and integration with fulfilment.

05

Technical SEO

Product structured data, canonical handling for variants and facets, and crawlable pagination.

06

Analytics and attribution

Funnel instrumentation that shows exactly where revenue is being lost.

How we work

The order matters more
than the tools.

Most of what separates a project that lands from one that stalls is sequence. This is the order we work in, and why each step comes where it does.

  1. 01

    Find the leak

For an existing store we start with funnel data, because fixing checkout usually pays faster than a redesign.

  2. 02

    Choose the architecture

Headless, platform-based or custom, decided by catalogue complexity and how much control you need.

  3. 03

    Build for speed

Performance budget set upfront, since load time correlates directly with conversion.

  4. 04

    Integrate operations

Payments, inventory, shipping, tax and fulfilment connected and reconciled.

  5. 05

    Launch and optimise

Migrate with redirects preserved, then iterate against funnel data.

Use cases

Where this gets
put to work.

The situations this service is built for. If one of these sounds like your problem it is worth a conversation — and if none of them do, say so on the call and we will point you at what would actually fit.

01

Direct-to-consumer brands

Owning the customer relationship rather than renting it from a marketplace.

02

Replatforming

Moving off a constraining platform without sacrificing hard-won search rankings.

03

B2B commerce

Account pricing, quotes, purchase orders and approval workflows.

04

Booking and experiences

Selling time, capacity or travel rather than physical stock, as with BharatTrips.

Have a use case that is not on this list? That is usually the interesting one.

The stack

Chosen to fit,
not to impress.

We pick tools that suit the problem and that your team can maintain after we hand over — never to pad a capability list.

FAQ

Questions we
get asked.

Straight answers, including the ones that talk you out of work we would otherwise be paid for.

Should we use Shopify or build custom?

Shopify is the right answer for many stores and we will say so. Custom or headless becomes worthwhile when your catalogue, pricing or checkout logic does not fit the platform's model, or when platform fees at your volume exceed the cost of building. It is a maths question, not an ideological one.

How do you improve conversion rate?

By finding where people leave. Usually it is page speed on mobile, a checkout demanding account creation, unclear shipping costs revealed too late, or missing trust signals. We measure first, because guessing at conversion optimisation wastes budget.

Will replatforming hurt our SEO?

Only if the migration is done carelessly. URL mapping, redirects, structured data and preserved content are planned before launch, and we monitor rankings closely afterwards. A botched migration can cost months of traffic, so this is not the phase to rush.

Which payment methods should we support?

Whatever your customers actually use. In India that means UPI as a first-class option rather than an afterthought; internationally, cards plus the wallets your market prefers. Every additional method adds reconciliation work, so the choice should follow the data.

How do you keep inventory accurate across channels?

A single source of truth for stock with event-driven updates to each channel, plus reconciliation to catch drift. Overselling erodes customer trust quickly, so this deserves more attention than it usually gets.

Can you handle a large catalogue?

Yes. Large catalogues shift the work towards search, faceting and how pages are generated and cached. We design the rendering strategy around catalogue size rather than applying one approach to every store.
